What is kitchen design and installation?
Kitchen design and installation is the process Pantech Kitchens goes through to create your dream kitchen. We first start by meeting with you and listening to what it is that you are looking for in a new kitchen. Pantech Kitchens then designs your dream kitchen, taking into account all of your needs as well as incorporating any ideas or inspiration we gathered during our consultation with you!

Types of kitchen layouts
One Wall Kitchen
Sparsely populated with cabinets and appliances, one wall kitchens are often small or oddly shaped spaces making them difficult to work in; however, Pantech Kitchens can make even these awkward rooms functional. One wall kitchen opens up space for seating areas adjacent to the cooking zone. This layout type also takes advantage of natural light by facing windows on two sides (usually one end). The cooktop is typically located against an outside wall for ventilation purposes while keeping other surfaces clear of hot air flow near sinks and dishwashers which tend to be heat traps. When designing a one wall kitchen Pantech Kitchens recommend you keep the cooktop and sink on opposite sides of your work triangle.
Galley Kitchen
The galley kitchen has a long, narrow shape and is arranged in a straight line. Pantech Kitchens recommend this layout for entertaining but it often makes an eating area feel too cramped because the kitchen takes up so much space. When designing your galley kitchen, we suggest placing appliances near the pass-through window to create more countertop space on either side of the stove or include an island with seating along one wall if you plan to host lots of dinner parties.
Island Kitchen
In the island kitchen, the emphasis is on the kitchen island which can serve as a food preparation area or just an eating counter. Pantech Kitchens recommend making the most of this space by including storage, seating and possibly even appliances like dishwashers under the work surface.
Peninsula Kitchen
A peninsula kitchen is essentially half an L-shaped design – it has two walls that meet at 90 degrees where one wall extends out to create another work area with its sink (and maybe even additional cabinets). Pantech Kitchens suggest using this layout for small homes because it creates more functional areas without taking up too much room in your home’s footprint. Our experts also think you should consider placing refrigerators beside windows if they are available so people can easily access them when they are seated at the kitchen’s peninsula.
L-Shaped Kitchen
This type has two distinct work areas that meet at right angles (like an L). Pantech Kitchens consider this design somewhat wasteful because there are typically only small nooks formed by each corner where people can sit comfortably while waiting for food to cook.
